Ever
since the Democrats took absolute control of Hamilton's
government, there has been a re-occurring theme of shady
dealings, deceit and deception coming from the Mayor's
office and the Township Council. Whether it's short changing
our schools $30 million in tax revenue, raiding surplus
money from the police and library budgets, or promising
no tax increases then giving two right after the election,
this Mayor and Council have shown total disdain for the
residents of Hamilton Township.
Tom
Goodwin, Dave Kenny, and Dennis Pone are life long residents
of Hamilton Township who will not sell out to developers
for campaign contributions. We need leaders who will put
the residents first. Protecting Hamilton’s future
has never been more important then it is now. We need
leaders on Township Council who will listen to the people
of Hamilton, not the developers. We need leaders who will
not sell out educating our children for political gain.
We need leaders who have been part of our Hamilton community
for over 30 years and will not play politics with our
tax dollars.
Hamilton
residents have seen an unprecedented increase in their
property taxes over the last five years. While we all
have come to expect some increase, we do not expect the
Mayor and Township Council to deceive residents by hiding
tax increases until after elections, or taking money from
our library to balance their budget. Most of all we expect
our government to be honest about raising taxes. The Mayor
and Council should not send out tax bills with deliberate
mistakes that blame their tax increase on someone else.
We
expect the Township Mayor and Council to support our children’s
education and well being. We do not expect our Township
government to give tens of millions of dollars in tax
breaks to developers and take money away from funding
our children’s education. Do you remember when Hamilton
government used to buy play ground equipment for our kids?
Now the Mayor is taking playgrounds away and telling the
parents to raise the money for them.
Hamilton
expects the government to protect the quality of life
we all enjoy by not allowing developers to build 8 story
housing projects with over 600 new tenants next to a housing
development. Our Mayor and Council tell us they are building
600 “luxury apartments” in this high housing
project. The Mayor is building a 600 apartment housing
project that does not fit into the plans for Hamilton.
Hamilton
residents want their government to do what is best for
the Township, not what is best for developers and politicians
who want to seek higher office. The Republican team of
Tom Goodwin, Dave Kenny, and Dennis Pone are long time
residents of Hamilton who have had enough of Glen Gilmore
and his developer friends. They are feed up with the deceit
on taxes, the attack on our children’s education,
and the selling out to developers. Tom Goodwin, Dave Kenny,
and Dennis Pone are running for Township Council to protect
Hamilton’s future.
