I have devoted just about all of my adult life to some form of service to Hamilton Township, both as a volunteer civic leader and an elected government official. During that time we have seen our safe, clean and beautiful Hamilton mature into a community envied by many. Unfortunately over the past four years our township government has stagnated bringing our community's progress to a grinding halt and perhaps even regressing. A poll conducted in February of this year indicated that 69 percent of Hamilton voters either felt that Hamilton was worse off today than it was four years ago or they just didn't know.

That may be because the current leadership in our government simply doesn't know and understand our community since most of those currently in leadership positions in the present Administration never took the time to learn about Hamilton and its special needs and wants. That kind of knowledge and wisdom comes from living the Hamilton experience and participating in our community life before seeking elected or appointed office. Over the coming weeks and months we will be addressing a myriad of issues affecting our community. Whenever we criticize our opponent's ineptitude or outright mismanagement of our community's resources we will offer a thoroughly researched, comprehensive plan to correct the ills that we identify. We will reach into the knowledge and wisdom base born of experience that our advisors and colleagues possess to address every aspect of our municipal government and how it should be managed instead of the way it's being mangled right now.

To be satisfied just to live on the legacies left by the previous government, without even acknowledging that every government service or program you've tried to take credit for over the past four years was already in place or on the drawing board for completion, is not a forward-looking way to govern our community. It never was in the past when I had the honor to serve on our township council for 24 years and it won't be in the future when, with your help, I'll serve our community's best interests with courage, dignity, honor and respect for the past as we strive toward an even better future.
